Smarter Shopping: 7 Checks Before You Buy
Use this checklist to decide whether a deal is worth your time and money. A prominent discount or premium label does not guarantee good value.
1. Identify what you actually need
List two or three features that matter to you before looking at an offer. Avoid paying extra for features you will not use.
2. Compare the total cost
Check taxes, shipping, renewals, upgrades and cancellation fees. For software and memberships, compare costs over a full year, not only the introductory period.
3. Check who sells and fulfills the product
Determine whether you purchase from Grab Global Daily Deals or a third-party merchant. Most linked affiliate offers are purchased directly from the merchant.
4. Verify returns and cancellations
Read the seller’s current refund, cancellation and guarantee terms. Save any order confirmation.
5. Verify specifications and claims
Check official specifications, compatibility, dimensions and independent evidence. Be wary of guaranteed earnings, transformations or extraordinary results.
6. Consider alternatives
Compare basic and premium options. Premium is useful only if added features justify the extra cost for your use case.
7. Protect your privacy
Use reputable payment methods. Review how a merchant uses your information, and subscribe to newsletters only when you want them.
